One of the best things about running track is that no man or woman gets left behind!  We use the lanes (e.g. faster runners run in outside lanes) with the intent that people run for similar periods of time (e.g. 90 second effort, 60 second recovery) but the distances vary that are completed (e.g. 375m, 400m, 435m). By having someone to run with despite different pacing, we can work together to achieve our goals.  Typical distance around 7.5km, with 5km of this being hard efforts.

Meet at the seats close to the track to the left of the centre aisle.  $5.00 for lights or $3,50 if you buy a multi-pass.

Gatorade Tri Series R3 - Kawana (Sunshine Coast)

Round 3 of QTS also hosts the Kawana Aquathlon.

This event is a Triathlon Australia World Qualifying Race to compete for Australia at the Age Group ITU World Championships on the Gold Coast in September 2018.

To gain selection for the Australian Age Group team you must be a current member of Triathlon Australia. One Day Memberships cover insurance on the day of racing only.

Kawana Aquathlon

Leave the bike at home and get ready to show off your swim skills at the Kawana Aquathlon. This Run, Swim, Run event is a great way to test your running and swimming speed against the best in Queensland. Coming to the Sunshine Coast for the third year, the Kawana Aquathlon is quickly becoming a must do on the Triathlon Queensland Calendar.

Make a weekend of it and stay for Sunday’s Sprint Triathlon – enter both at the same time and save.

Queensland Championships – Aquathlon
Earn points towards the Nissan Club Championships or Scody Club Championships – North Queensland (depending on club geographical location)

Cycling Session - Noosa bike course orientation ride

Location: Hastings St bus stop, opposite Lions Park (transition area)

Facilitated by:  Brad Dalrymple

Description:  a short bike trip up to the top of the ‘hill’ and back again.  It is suggested you wear your club colours.  With a host of people cycling around Noosa, multiple riders in the same colours help give some observable structure to the ride. Being more observable in turn helps make the ride safer around car drivers and fellow cyclists.

Super Sunday

7:15am, Enoggera Reservoir - Open water swim (i.e. practice swimming in a straight line in the direction you want to go). This is full practice for your wetsuit/swimsuit/tri-suit/racing goggles set up for Noosa.


 

8:15am - Trail run - wear the tri-suit (already have it on if you've swum), running shoes, (socks) you will be using at Noosa. Run around (or along) the dam, about 45 minutes.


 

9:30am approx - Breakfast and coffee - The Lodge, 976 Waterworks Road.

Cycling Session - Seven Sisters (Noosa prep)

My Sweetopia, Grey Street, Southbank

Bring the TT or bike you'll ride at Noosa for a Seven Sisters loop. Wear the cycling shoes you'll race in, the drink you'll have in your water bottle and any other energy options you plan taking.

The Seven Sisters bit will be individual time trial (16km), with a staggered start Tour de France style of 1 or 2 minute intervals to allow for a solid hit out on the bike.

A long and short option will be available. About 2.5 to 3.5hrs,depending on option and other stuff.
